The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center is a member agency of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network with funding from the Maryland State Department of Education. LSCCRC is grant sponsored by Salisbury University.

If you are in the Maryland Credential program at level 2 or above, you can use a training voucher or reimbursement to pay for your classes!

THE MARYLAND CREDENTIAL PROGRAM

In Maryland, child care providers (both center and family) can take advantage of the Maryland Credential program.

The Maryland Credential is a voluntary program in which providers go beyond their basic licensing requirements.  Providers in this program are recognized for their additional training and professional activities.  There are many incentives that go along with this program as well.  Please contact tlhurley@salisbury.edu for more information on this program.

Training Vouchers and Reimbursement (from the MSDE website)

Child care providers participating in the Credential Program at Level Two and higher are eligible to receive training vouchers and/or reimbursement for approved training within the Core of Knowledge.  A participant may receive up to $400, during each year of participation in the Credential Program.  Each voucher is issued for one specific course, workshop or conference.  Training voucher applications and all required documentation must be submitted 60 days before the date of the training for which the voucher will be used. To receive reimbursement for an approved course, workshop or conference, an application must be submitted within 120 days after completion date.

To apply for a training voucher or reimbursement submit an Application for Training Voucher/Reimbursement and all required documentation to the OCC Credentialing Branch.

What a Child Care Professional Needs to know about using Training Vouchers & Reimbursement
