MD Credential

In Maryland, child care providers (both center and family) can take advantage of the MD Credential.  The Maryland Credential is a voluntary program in which providers go beyond their basic licensing requirements.  Providers in this program are recognized for their additional training and professional activities.  There are many incentives that go along with this program as well.  Please contact our office kjgoldman@salisbury.edu or your local Office of Child Care  for more information on this program.

Core of Knowledge

All classes at the Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center are approved by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care. Providers in the MD Credential program can receive Core of Knowledge credit for all classes.

Vouchers

We gladly accept Office of Child Care Training Vouchers from child care providers in the MD Credential Program.

Accreditation:

For Centers:

Child Care Centers can become accredited by Maryland State Department of Education or National Association of the Education of Young Children. Our office will be happy to assist centers choosing to become accredited.

For Family Providers:

Family Providers can become accredited through the National Association of Family Child Care.  Funding is available for those providers who wish to become accredited.  Please contact our office for more information.
