HEALTHY BEGINNINGS:
Supporting Development and Learning from Birth through 3 years of Age
12 COK HOURS (4.5C, 3CY, 2CD, 1.5P, 1SN) Saturday, February 4 • 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 15 and Wednesday, February 29 • 6-9p.m. Location: LSCCRC • Trainer: Margaret Clayville Fee: $45/$55

If you work with infants and young children under 3 years of age and want to be able to recognize appropriate behaviors, set realistic expectations for these children and involve their parents in their development come to this series of trainings.

 

 

Services provided by our Infant and Toddler program are:

The Infant/Toddler specialist is happy to assist any family or center program that focuses on providing developmentally appropriate and quality care for infants and children less than three years of age.

-Consultation services/ technical assistance available for programs serving infants and toddlers.  This includes assistance and information on the set up of an early childhood environment and the use of developmentally appropriate materials and activities with infants and toddlers.

-Related trainings on site or at LSCCRC during the evenings, weekends or as needed

 

-ITERS (Infant Toddler Environmental Rating Scale)

 

-Information on the Social,Emotional development of infants and toddlers

 

-Pamphlets, handouts  and activity ideas for appropriate care of infants and toddlers

 

-Parent Education

 

-Services available in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties

Margaret Clayville, Infant and Toddler Specialist

Margaret Clayville is the new InfantToddler Specialist for the Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center.  She received her BS from Colorado State University in Child Development and Family Relations and her Master's in Education from Salisbury University.

 

She has worked as a teacher in several child care centers; a Child Life teacher at Johns Hopkins Hospital; a director of a large child care center and a trainer at LSCCRC.  For the last three years she has also been the trainer for the Project Security Blanket, the emergency preparation class for all family and center providers in the lower three counties.

 

Margaret will be working with all providers who care for infants and children less than three years of age in Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties.  She will provide individual and group trainings, assessments and a wealth of information and resources for these providers.

 

Margaret lives in Salisbury with her husband, Jerry.  They have two grown daughters.
