The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center is a non-profit agency that works with parents, child care providers, early educators, businesses and community organizations to help promote the availability of quality child care services in Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico counties. LSCCRC assists parents with their search for care (birth to age 12). In addition, LSCCRC helps child care providers, caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children by providing high quality training, program resources and technical assistance. The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center works with all families and providers on the lower shore regardless of income.

The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center strives to advocate for and  to ensure high quality care of young children.  Our mission is to support child care providers in their efforts to care for and teach young children by providing resources , technical assistance and educational opportunities for their benefit.

RESOURCE CENTER NEWS!
DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6TH, THE RESOURCE CENTER WILL BE CLOSED THAT DAY, AND BOTH SCHEDULED CLASSES WILL BE CANCELED.  (Please see below for new dates.)
The class "Nutritional Needs of the Infant/Toddler" has been rescheduled .  It will be held on  Tuesday, February 23 from 6-9 p.m. here at LSCCRC, taught by Margaret Clayville.		The class "Exploring the MMSR Domain: Language & Literacy" has been re-scheduled.  It will be held on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Worcester County Board of Education.  Please call (410) 543-6650 for information or to register.  You can still take advantage of the Series Registration Discount!
	CPR/First Aid recertification scheduled for February 2, 2010 has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 11 from 6-9:30 at the Resource Center.  (This class is currently full.)		THE NEW FEBRUARY/MARCH TRAINING CALENDAR IS NOW AVAILABLE!
	An Evening for Children's Advocacy, Monday, February 8, 2010 Please call if you are interested in attending so that we can form carpools from our Resource Center.  (410) 543-6650

Medication Administration registration will require a NON-REFUNDABLE pre-payment of $52.00.  If you are unable to attend, you may find someone to substitute, but you must give us at least 24 hours notice.

Emergency Preparedness classes are full through May 2010.  We are now taking registrations for June 12, 2010 (Somerset) and August 21, 2010 (Wicomico).
